Sacred Spaces Series

 This series draws inspiration from the landscapes and cultural traditions of the Southwest borderlands and Mexico, particularly the state of Guerrero, where part of my family originates. Through flora, fauna, and symbolic imagery, these works reflect themes of resilience, endurance, and survival, honoring the deep connections between land, memory, and identity.

Now living in Ohio, my practice has expanded to embrace the lush river systems of the Miami Valley Watershed. These river basins are rich with biodiversity, where plant and animal life embodies a vibrant, life-sustaining energy. By bringing together these distinct yet interconnected landscapes, my work explores the ways place, ecology, and ancestry shape our understanding of belonging and persistence.
